While his mother scolds him for having an obsession with extracurricular activities, his father is more understanding and hopes Sena will be a success. Due to his small stature and a weak outward appearance, Sena was bullied by his schoolmates and was forced to run errands for them. This allowed him to build up his speed and dodging ability. He always had to be rescued by his childhood friend, Mamori, but this would make things worse since the other boys would make fun of him for needing to be rescued by a girl. When he received his letter to Hogwarts, he thought it was a joke, saying there was no way he could be even remotely special. But when the letters kept coming, Sena and his parents decided this would be a great change for him. Although he's a coward, Sena is very kind and rather chivalrous. Because he's so timid, people take advantage of him easily, though it is mostly because he is afraid of being hurt. He studies a lot, but is not at the top of his class. This is attributed to his fear of failing while taking the test; the anxiety causes him to miss answers.
